Chartrand Saint‑Louis — a pseudonym chosen by a woman passionate about the arts and thought — carefully oversees the administration of this web journal.

Today, she is its sole artisan: she gathers together texts, images, archives, and sonic explorations within it, creating a living space where the universes of the former contributors and her own unfold.

Beyond her digital activities, she cultivates a rich and multifaceted artistic practice encompassing reading, writing, photography, storytelling, choral singing, drawing, and video editing, complemented by a musical practice that explores classical guitar, dulcimer, piano, violin, viola, and composition.

Her academic background includes studies in philosophy, information science, and law. Philosophical questions remain at the heart of her life, and nature is her greatest source of inspiration.

Albert : Biographical note in English

During my childhood, I had plenty of time to explore my passions, the most important of which were music and computers. My passion for music took me to the Conservatory. I realized with regret that I was not destined for a career as a soloist or virtuoso, but, despite this disappointment, this passion never faded. She has traveled through my life. She nourished my sensitivity. I composed music and played in several musical groups (rock and blues). Now, I explore the musical world in complete freedom and I am particularly interested in arrangement and orchestration. My intellectual curiosity pushed me to read a large number of books, to study oriental wisdom (my favorite author is Alan Watts), and, to earn my living, to learn computer science on my own and never lose interest in it.

Durant mon enfance, j’ai eu tout le loisir d’explorer mes passions, dont les plus importantes sont la musique et l’informatique. Ma passion pour la musique m’a menée jusqu'au Conservatoire. J’ai réalisé avec regret que je n’étais pas destiné à une carrière de soliste ou de virtuose, mais, en dépit de cette déception, cette passion ne s’est jamais éteinte. Elle a parcouru ma vie. Elle a nourri ma sensibilité. J’ai composé de la musique et j’ai joué dans plusieurs formations musicales (rock et blues). Maintenant, j'explore le monde musical en toute liberté et je m'intéresse tout particulièrement à l'arrangement et à l'orchestration. Ma curiosité intellectuelle m’a poussée à lire un grand nombre de livres, à faire l’étude des sagesses orientales (mon auteur favori est Alan Watts), et, pour gagner ma vie, à apprendre l’informatique en autodidacte et à ne jamais m’en désintéresser.
